You have a lot to look forward to, but also some hurdles to cross before you get to your next destination. The Counseling Department at Musselman High School is here to help! College Entrance Exams, like the ACT and SAT, are used by 4-Year Colleges as one factor in determining a student's eligibility for college acceptance. These scores can also be used for Math and English placement, and scholarship awards such as the Promise Scholarship. Check out the link above for an ACT-SAT Test Schedule for this school year. |

Information on federal student aid, state grants and scholarships, and more is available for students planning to attend Community & Technical Schools and 4-Year Colleges, both in-state and out-of-state. |
APPLYING FOR THE FAFSAApplying for the FAFSA: www.fafsa.gov
Applying for an FSA ID (FAFSA Signature): www.fsaid.ed.gov By completing the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid), you are applying for most federal and state financial aid programs, as well as financial aid available from colleges and universities. The FAFSA includes scholarships, grants, and student loans. Any senior considering any schooling after high school should complete the FAFSA. The FAFSA is available after October 1, and should be submitted by March 1. |

If you plan to attend a 2- or 4-Year College, Technical School, or any post-secondary institution, you should apply for any scholarships available. Most private, local scholarships for the school year will be available in the Counseling Office or on our website by December.
